KLE University offers Music course for SSLC / Class 10 Students

KLE University, Belgaum invites application from the SSLC / Class 10 passed students for admission to the Certificate & Diploma courses in Music commencing in the session 2013-14.

The Statutory Academic Bodies of the University have accorded approval to start the following courses, as per prevailing regulations of the University.

The Courses are Offered in:

• Certificate Course in Music - Vocal (Hindustani) (1 year)
• Certificate Course in Sugam Sangeet - Vocal (Hindustani) (1 Year)
• Diploma Course in Music - Vocal (Hindustani) (2 years duration) (2 Years)

Music is an integral part of rich Indian heritage and has come a long way since Vedic times with a strong cultural and ancient history. It is perhaps the greatest force that unites humanity the world over.

In today's world which is full of conflicts and tensions, it is the music which is playing a significant role towards inner peace and harmony, transgressing man made frontiers and carrying the message of peace and brotherhood.

Music is also known to be a great healer and has direct and indirect influence on physical and mental health of an individual. Of late music therapy is being used as an adjunct to medical line of therapy.

All different forms of Indian classical music (Ragas) are believed to affect various "Chakras" (Energy centres) in the path of the Kundalini.

In the modern corporate world the significance of music in relieving stress and fatigue, besides making value addition to one's personality development cannot be overemphasized

Eligibility:
Candidates should have passed SSLC / Class 10 examination from recognized Board of examination.

Fee Structure:

• Rs 4,500/- for Certificate courses.
• Rs 7,000/- (Per Year) for Diploma Course.

How to apply:

• The application form can be downloaded from the official website of KLE University.
• The completed application forms along with the Demand Draft of Rs 100/- drawn in favour of Registrar, KLE University payable at Belgaum should be submitted to the University so as to reach the University.

Last date to receipt of application form on July 31, 2013.
