The NCP (Nationalist Congress Party) has knocks at the Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar for his decision to head the Education Advisory Council, stating that he has exposed his "dictatorial functioning".
NCP's Chief, Trajano D'mello said "The principles of natural justice do not permit a person to sit on judgment of the confusion created by him on the medium of instruction (MoI) issue.
He alleged that the Chief Minister believes that he can take advantage of the people of Goa. He also states that Parrikar is politically inclined about the MoI issue and the confusion that it has created.
NCP Chief said "The CM should take the grievances of the parents into consideration, discuss the issue with legal experts and educationists and stick to one language."
He further questioned "The council head by him is supposed to make recommendations to the government, which is also headed by him. If this is not dictatorship, then what is it?"
Moreover, much drama was enacted by those agitating by refusing awards, stopping Bhajan competitions, etc.. but under the present Government the same people have accepted the MoI policy although it is contrary to their demands; said the Chief.
When asked about NCP's role in the Uttarakhand rescue operation and rehabilitation of those affected in the flash floods, D'Mello said, "Whatever we do, we won't make a noise about it."
Finally, it seems like Politics is entering into the Education sector too. What do you feel about this? Share your views with us in the below comment section.
