"Keeping in mind the past experiences, we have decided to print more forms this year. Last year, the university had printed 1.5 lakh forms and it was forced to get the forms re-printed. This year we are taking steps to avoid such a situation," said a GU official.
There are 44 colleges for commerce studies in the city with a capacity of 26,400 seats. In rural areas, there are 45 commerce colleges with a capacity of 7,500 seats.
The GU has also decided that a student will have to pay Rs 10 for the form, while the same amount will be charged while submitting the form.
Application forms will be available from the respective colleges from June 14. The colleges commences classes from July 04.
Eligibility:
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination in commerce subjects from the Gujarat board of examination.
The first merit list for general category students will be declared on June 20, while the second list will be declared on June 24 and the third will be declared on June 27. The merit list for the reserved category students will be displayed on June 28.
