Bangalore University Demands Students Records from Its B.Ed Colleges

BU Demands Internal Assessment Marks
Bangalore University has ordered all its affiliated B.Ed colleges to submit the Students records today by 6 PM (Wednesday). Well, its inspection time for all B.Ed colleges.

The order says that B.Ed Colleges have to send in the hard copies and soft copies of their students internal assessment marks, attendance percentages and proof of admissions before the deadline set to be 6pm.

The order was placed by the Vice Chancellor of Bangalore University B.Thimme Gowda in a meeting held with B.Ed college Principals on Tuesday.

The Vice Chancellor addressed the principals of 47 B.Ed colleges under the issues in admission and attendance. He said "If any discrepancy is found in any of your students- be it a missing photo, signature or insufficient attendance, the student concerned will be disallowed to write the examination".

DN Nataraj, general secretary of the Karnataka State Private B Ed Colleges Principals' and Lecturers' Association, appealed, "The future of the students is more important than petty managerial issues. We must look into their welfare first, and then sort out the remaining issues."

VC Thimme Gowda assured the students awaiting college counselling that they would clearly state which colleges were affiliated with BU.

The meeting was concluded that the colleges need to be more careful about students' attendance and that collective responsibility must be taken in maintaining academic records. The principals felt that organizing a separate committee to keep a check on admission records would be beneficial in the long run.

This is a tough time for all the B.Ed colleges that are affiliated to Bangalore University. Keep waiting and visit for more updates on the same.
