DU, Assam announced CEE 2013 results
Dibrugarh University, Assam has announced the Combined Entrance Examination (CEE 2013) results on Thursday.

Dibrugarh University had conducted the Combined Entrance Examination (CEE 2013) for admission in to Engineering, Medical and Dental colleges in Assam for the first year MBBS, BDS, B.E and B.Tech Courses commencing in the session 2013-14.

A student from Silchar Daniel Nowaj Majumder topped the medical stream in the CEE 2013 exam. He scored 236 out of 300 marks.

Priyanshu Goswami of Guwahati secured first position in the engineering stream.

Other rankers in the medical entrance are Jinku Ozah 2nd, Rajan Kumar Gupta 3rd, Tapshil Borthakur 4th, Yograj Sarma 5th.

In engineering, the toppers are Abhijeet Biswas 2nd, Akshdeep Goswami 3rd, Anup Jyoti Kalita 4th and Abhigyan Khaund 5th.

The CEE-2013 was conducted as per the current national Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) syllabus adopted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council.

Jiten Hazarika, member secretary, Cell, CEE-2013, Dibrugarh University, said a total of 503 medical, 26 BDS and 975 engineering seats in various colleges of the state will be filled up with candidates on the basis of their CEE performance.

A total of 16,277 candidates had taken the medical entrance test while 16,522 candidates had appeared for engineering this year.

There are total of 626 seats in five medical colleges of the state.

However, 123 seats will be allotted under different quotas like central pool, allocation to other North Eastern states and others. The state will get 503 seats for admission from the CEE.
