The students who have passed HSC and applied for the photocopies of answer sheets of pune division will be available with in 2 days.
The Pune division received over 600 applications within four days of the announcement of the higher secondary certificate (HSC) exam results. The last date for accepting applications is June 19.
Usually it takes at least a month for the students to receive photocopies from the date of application. Students had complained to divisional chairman Sunil Chauhan.
Chauhan said, "Keeping in mind the concerns of students, we have relaxed the state board rules and decided to process their requests within two days of the application."
On May 31 and June 1, several students and parents thronged the Pune division office of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education complaining that their children scored way too less in class XII.
They demanded free-of-cost photocopies of answer sheets and also asked the board to put them online. Parents and students also demanded that the admission process to colleges for medical, engineering and pharmacy among others be postponed. While the admissions are based on state common entrance test scores, 50% score in HSC is considered.
The colleges will distribute the answer sheets to students on Thursday, following which the admission process will begin. Those undergoing the common admission process for engineering will also start applying from Friday.
