Mahindra Satyam's Summer Camp For Kids
Working parents do not get enough time to engage their children in summer. Though they would like their children to join many camps / courses based on their interest, their jobs make it difficult to take time out to pick and drop children. To enable its employees to break away from such impediments, company organized a summer camp for the children of its employees.

 

A 15-Day Summer Camp organized for Children of Family members of associates of Mahindra Satyam, Tech Mahindra and Mahindra Satyam BSG concluded here in the city on Friday. Over 150 Kids in the age group of 5 to 15 years participated in this fortnight long event which included Basic Drawing and Painting, Origami, Public Speaking, Clay Molding, Pot Painting and Balloon Art. The camp enabled children to learn while having fun.

Mahindra Satyam Associates for the third time in a row had an opportunity of sending their kids to summer camp within the comforts of their company. This initiative not only helped associates to engage their kids constructively during summer vacation, but also fosters employee engagement. Many associates were seen along with their kids beaming with joy at the closing function and watching their wards receiving participation certificates. This is an annual affair in the company which is jointly organized by JOSH - the employees connect forum and the Samanvay teams.

The participants were given away Certificates and Mementos. The camp concluded with an Odishi dance performance by an Odishi masters student, magic show and group dance by participants.

Response was overwhelming. Many associates want their children back next summer for more activities, so also the children. From the organization's point of view this initiative helped them connect with employees and associates' families, which is unique. It also helps the organization to forge a strong bond with family members of the associates.

While speaking at the closing ceremony of the event at Mahindra Satyam Learning World, AS Murthy, CTO, Mahindra Satyam stressed about the importance of health and creative education for today's young generation. He also emphasized on starting good habits early. Mahindra Satyam believes in inclusive growth by involving Family Members which enables improve employee satisfaction through various such family related initiatives which includes the extended families of our employees.
