'Zee Learn' Reported Growth of 64% in the year 2013

Mumbai: Zee Learn Limited, a leading player in core education, reported 64.05 % growth in its topline for the financial year ended March 31, 2013. Net revenue from operations for the 12 months ended March 31, 2013 stood at INR 10,007.76 lakhs, up by 64.05 % against the INR 6,100.29 lakhs for the previous 12 months ended March 31, 2012.

Net income/(Loss) for the year ended March 31, 2013 stood at (INR 2,122.35 lakhs), better against the loss of (INR 2,757.90 lakhs) for the corresponding last year.

Commenting on the performance, Navneet Anhal, CEO, Zee Learn Ltd. said "The improved performance is a result of increase in enrollments in Kidzee centers to over 73,000 students during the FY2013 from over 60,000 students in FY2012. Also for second consecutive financial years, we have signed more than 300 new Kidzee franchisees. Revenue from the sale of educational content to India's first Edutainment TV channels for children ‘ZQ' has also contributed to the revenue growth for Zee Learn Ltd. At Zee Learn, we are committed to playing a catalyst role in improving India's Human Capital and looking for opportunities to enhance our offerings in the education sector of the country. Our expansion plans across all brands are as per set targets, and we are confident of steady and profitable growth in the coming quarters."

Zee Learn has expanded its footprint to over 1250+ Kidzee centers across India in 2013 from over 1,000 in 2012. Zee Learn's school solution program ‘BrainCafe' has undergone Business Model change during the FY2013. The new BrainCafe model which focuses on a conceptual understanding of science has touched the lives of more than 41,000 students during FY2013.

Under its banner, Zee Learn also operates animation centers - ZICA which is the nation's first full-fledged Classical and Digital Animation Training Academy that trains youth in classical 2D and modern 3D and media center under ZIMA brand which offers cutting-edge technology and traditional expertise to a career in film making and media world.

Navneet was recently promoted as the CEO of the company. He was earlier the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
