As many as 13,681 candidates had written the PGET on February 3. Of these, 9,417 students are eligible to participate in the seat selection process for the medical stream. Only less than one fourth of the total eligible students are from Karnataka. The remaining 6,883 candidates are from different parts of the country.

While the top 10 medical list was scored by male candidates, the top three place was scored by girls. Only ranks 2 and 8 were garnered by men, from Udupi and Mysore respectively.

The dental merit list was more heterogeneous with the top rankers hailing from various parts of the country.

A total of 5,032 candidates wrote the Dental PG entrance test, of which 3,963 are eligible to participate in the seat selection process. Of this, only 518 candidates are from within the state and the remaining 3,445 from across the country.

ComedK PGET holds the key to seats in 12 medical colleges. The results of the test were so far withheld as per Supreme Court directions thanks to the confusion over the newly introduced single entrance exam, NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test). After they got the direction from SC to announce it last week, ComedK had released the answer keys.
