Will NEET UG 2013 be Faithful for Karnataka Students?

NEET UG 2013 in Karnataka on May 18
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG 2013) for Undergraduate Medical / Dental courses admissions in Karnataka will be conducted on May 18, 2013.

Earlier NEET PG 2013 postponed in Karnataka due assembly elections. Medical students in Karnataka are happy that they are familiar with the NEET exam pattern.

While, NEET UG 2013 had conducted in all over India on May 05, 2013 except in Karnataka.

Tvisha Ijner, a student of BGS National Public School, Bangalore, said, "We got extra time. Moreover, we know what type of questions will be asked."

Meanwhile, students from other States, who had arrived in Bangalore on Sunday for the COMEDK exam, expressed disappointment over the fact that the Karnataka students were familiar with the pattern of the paper.

Jay Bothra, a student from Divine Child High School, Surat, said, "Students from Karnataka are aware of the pattern of the paper and have more time to prepare for the exams. So we are at a disadvantage."

The state has seven centres, wherein some 40,000 students will take the test. Around 15,000 staff and others will be on exam duty.

The responsibility of the CBSE is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of result and providing merit list to the Counselling Authorities.

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will allot the Undergraduate Medical and Dental seats for the candidates like every year,"

Even the fee structure for the course will be decided by the state government by discussion the same with the private professional colleges associations.
