SC will hear the NEET case Today. Around 90,000 medical aspirants are waiting for the final verdict which decides their future.
The Chief Justice of India, Justice Altamas Kabir, will retire on July 18. They hope that the NEET-PG verdict will be passed his last landmark judgment.
The SC had earlier postponed the final verdict to July 2 after summer vacation. NEET-PG case verdict, which was expected to be given on May 9, was delayed a day by day as the case was not included in the Supreme Court of India's final cause list.
However, Medical Council of India (MCI), has proposed SC to deliver the final verdict at the earliest. Counselling to medical colleges ends on May 31.
MCI said that, Supreme Court will deliver the verdict today at 2 PM (Monday) May 13, 2013.
SC Delivered NEET PG 2013 Final Verdict
The Supreme court had given an interim order on December 13 for all institutions and state governments to conduct their own entrance exams and instructed not to publish results of any Medical/PG entrance till further order.
NEET exam was declared by MCI in September that to with instruction of court for a fair and transparent system in medical dental and PG admissions. Exam was conducted by the National board of examination in December 2012.
Due to delay in NEET PG results, students might lose one academic year.
