Top 10 rank holders of VITEEE 2013 exam

VIT University, Vellore had conducted the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE - 2013) computer based test from April 15 to 24, 2013 in 112 cities across India for admission to the B.Tech courses offered by the VIT University.

A total of 1,67,008 candidates registered of VITEEE 2013. Around 1,58 lakh aspirants appeared for the test.

VIT University announced the VITEEE 2013 results on May 06, 2013.

The admission is purely based on the marks secured by the candidates in the Entrance Examination conducted by Our University.

VIT Founder and Chancellor Dr. G Viswanathan said that as many as 1,67,008 students had applied for the entrance examination, of which 1,28,513 were boys. The examination was conducted from April 15, 2013 to April 24, 2013 at 130 centres in 112 cities across the country. "Fulfilling the demands of students from the Middle East countries, we have put up a centre in Dubai and Kuwait also," he said.

Here are the top 10 rank holders of the VITEEE entrance exam 2013.

Pointing out that Andhra Pradesh tops the list of aspirants with 33,412 students, followed by Uttar Pradesh with 25,695 students and Bihar, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu with 18,812; 11,849 and 10,266 students respectively.

Cities with the largest number of candidates are Hyderabad - 12729, Delhi - 11728, Patna‐9613, Kota‐9296, Vijawayada‐8292.

Toppers in the Government schools from each of the rural and backward districts in Tamil Nadu who appeared for VITEEE and secured top marks will be awarded 100 percent tuition fee waiver and full fee exemption for hostel and mess under the Support The Advancement of Rural Students (STARS) scheme.
