1.39 lakh candidates registered for Karnataka CET 2013

Around 1.39 lakh candidates registered for Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET 2013) for admission to professional degree courses.

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) to conduct CET 2013 on May 01, 02 and 03, 2013.

The examination will be conducted in 287 examination centres across the State, of which 69 centres are located in Bangalore. Of the total students, 35,820 will take the exam in Bangalore, and 1,03,419 will appear in 218 centres outside Bangalore.

The examination will be conducted in two sessions, first session will be held from 10.30 am to 11.50 am and second half from 2.30 pm to 3.50 pm.

Around 1,385 candidates will appear for the Kannada language test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates on May 3 between 11.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. at the two centres.

KEA board have taken 287 observers, 574 special invigilation squad members, 287 custodians and 8,750 invigilators to conduct examination smoothly.

The KEA has also requested the police department to make elaborate security arrangements by deputing sufficient number of police personnel to all examination centres on both days.

The KEA has issued instructions to candidates to carry the admission ticket and read the instructions printed behind it. Students are to be present at the centre at least 30 minutes before the start of the exam.

Candidates are advised to use black or blue ball pen to mark the answers in OMR answer sheet.
