Around 5.3 Lakh students appeared for the examination in a regular stream and around 50,000 students appeared in Ex-regular stream. Also, the Sanskrit stream included over 5000 students sitting for the examination.

"The centres where the booklets will be made available in the districts will be announced in a couple of days," president of the board D P Nanda said. Printed copies of the result booklets would also be available at 40 centres across the state, he said. The board has printed at least 6,500 copies of the result booklets, and it will be sold at Rs 40 each. However, this year, the board has no plans to provide the results through SMSes.

Board officials said the students will get their mark sheets along with their original certificate and migration certificate from May 10 at their respective schools. The board has also done away with the practice of publishing the topper's list. "The top 100 merit list increases stress and unhealthy competition among students," the minister said.

The board president claimed that extra efforts were made to publish the results in time and make it error free. This time board had introduced question-cum-answer sheet, which helped the examiners to check the answer sheets properly in less time. Besides, the board conducted video recordings of all the 74 evaluation centres to ensure proper evaluation of the answer sheets. "Besides all these reforms, good management has helped us to publish the results so early," he added.
