Orissa Governor Focus on Women Education
Education is the key to a successful future and the key element in helping men and women developing to their full potentials. Learning opens doors of opportunity that are only available to those who seek it out and put their hearts and souls into it.

Through education and becoming exposed to added knowledge and experiences, people can find for themselves what they are best suited or most interested in doing for the rest of their lives. Success is defined differently by every person and education is an important tool in both creating a personal definition of success and eventually making it reality, said Governor S.C.Jamir while speaking at the annual day celebration of the Jeypore Vikram Dev autonomous college today.

 

Women education in India plays a pivotal role in the development of the country. It has helped in the development of half of the population as well as the living standard of family at home and outside. Educated women support women education and give better education to their children. Educated women help in reducing the mortality rate of infant in India. Educated women handle their family in a better way than illiterate women. So, we shouldn't forget the importance of women education in India, he added.

Jamir urged the youths to follow the ideals of Vivekananda who left an indelible mark on the minds of countrymen. Let the young generation of the state come forward and work hard to make Odisha prosperous in the economic front. He was awarded T.Minati Patra, a student of the college for scoring highest marks in mathematics.

Speaking on the occasion School & Mass Education Minister Rabi Narayan Nanda explained how the Vikram Dev college, said to be a leading college in the state has earned the distinction in imparting quality education to the students of the region. In his welcome address, college student's union president Surya Narayan Panda was put forward various demands of the college before the Governor.

Among others, collector Sachin Rama Chandra Jadhav, S.P Awinash Kumar and college principal C.Sibatri were present.
