Recently, a survey which was conducted based on the schools which were unauthorised had resulted in identification of 1372 schools which were working without any recognition. This shows how the management have been neglecting the procedure to apply for recognition from the Government of the State.
The State Principal Secretary of Education department, Surina Rajan told media that the survey was held based on the PIL pending in Punjab and Haryana High Court.
As per the sources, the education department is to issue a show-cause notices to all the unauthorised schools before taking any action. An official said "Government would start issuing notices to these schools after getting approval from the Government. The students of these unrecognised schools shall appear for exams by submitting forms through recognized private schools."
According to the Haryana School education rules, 'A penalty ranging between Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 25,000 can be imposed for running a school without permission from director of the school education department'.
As a result, around 40,000 students may have to look for admission in other schools. In case of any issues the Government shall make arrangements for their admissions in Government Schools.
