Reserved for the highest-achieving students, the IT-MBA 'ACCEND' programme allows students to gain both an undergraduate and graduate degree while also earning over 18 months of full-time paid work experience through the UC Cooperative Education (co-op) program. When a student graduates, he/she has two degrees.
"One of the most exciting aspects of this program is also the cost-savings it presents to our students," said Charlie Schwartz, Assistant Director for Admissions at UC. He added that by earning two degrees at the same time, their students save approximately $40,000 (Rs 21.7 lakh) in tuition and fees.
"And by working in their field, students earn an additional $40,000 that can be put toward their tuition. Combine these with UC's scholarship program, and students are seeing potential savings of $1,20,000 (Rs 65.2 lakh) on a world-renowned education," he further said.
In order to identify highly qualified candidates for this program, Schwartz will be travelling throughout India from April 17-24, 2013 with UC's full-time India admissions coordinator, Anjali Khavnekar. UC has nearly 3,000 international students, including over 600 students from India.
