Manipal University Sign MoU With Beijing Institute

Manipal University of Karnataka and the China's one of the top Technology institute Beijjing Institute of Technology have signed a MoU for a strong bonding of High Tech Co-operation between Universities in India and China.

The Manipal University has inked a agreement with BIT, which is among china's top technology institutes where students not just from India but including Pakistan and other Asian countries are also enrolled here.

Prof Madhav Das Nalapat, Honorable Director of Manipal University who signed the agreement with Mr. Wangying, Director of International Student Centre of the BIT said, "this is the first instance of collaboration involving high tech co-operation between universities of India and China".

Moreover, the agreement also includes exchange of graduate, undergradauate stduents and academic personnel, cooperative research and development and exchange of academic and scientific materials and publications.

Prof Madhav Das said "Last year, in the month of November, the Manipal University had signed a comprehensive partnerships with Tianjin University and Shanghai's Tongji University to work out collaborative progrannes with Chinese academic institutes".

"The Manipal university is further planning to have the agreement of such kind with Nanjing Aeronautical University aiming for the exchange of faculty and students to study courses such as Robotics and Nano Technology", Prof. Das added.
