Jon prospectus for 2013 are looking up for a broad spectrum of B-School graduates, with a greater percentage of employees reporting plans to hire these candidates next year compared with their actual hiring in 2012.
Here is what employers that Graduate Management Association Council (GMAC) polled in the fall of 2012 has to say about next year's job market.
- 76% plan to hire recent MBA grads in 2013
- 43% plan to hire Master in Management graduates
- 40% plan to hire Master of Finance grads
- 46% plan to hire other specialized business master's graduates.
Of employers planning to hire MBAs in 2013, 56% intend to other starting base salaries that keep pace with inflation (43%) or exceed it (13%). A majority of employers that plan to hire other business master's grads in 2013 also project starting salaries at or above the rate of inflation.
Corporate recruiters look at experience in job function (61%), industry experience (51%) and years of work experience (44%) when considering job candidates.

In 2013, the vast majority (86%) of employers expect to offer internship to graduates business students and 65% intend to offer MBA internships. Most of the companies planning to other internships expect to keep the projected the same or higher than those offered in 2012.
