Panjab University Conducts PUTHAT 2013 on 19 May

PUTHAT 2013 on May 19 by Punjab Univ
University Institute of Hotel Management & Tourism (UIHMT), Chandigarh invites application for Panjab University Tourism & Hospitality Aptitude Test (PUTHAT 2013) for admission to undergraduate tourism courses commencing in the academic year 2013-14.

The Courses are offered in:

  • B.Sc in Hospitality and Hotel Management
  • B.Sc in Tourism Management

PUTHAT pattern:
The paper for PUTHAT will consist of 100 questions of one mark each. Total time allocated to the paper will be 90 minutes. The medium of examination shall be ENGLISH only. There shall be negative marking i.e., 25% marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

The distribution of marks for the respective components of testing would be as under:

  • English Aptitude: 30 Questions.
  • Current Affairs and General Awareness: 20 Questions.
  • Reasoning Ability: 20 Questions.
  • Hospitality Industry Awareness: 30 Questions.

Eligibility:
Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination with 50% of marks and English as one of the compulsory subject from a recognized boards of examination.

Candidates have to apply online.

Application fee:
General category: Rs 800/-.
SC/ST category: Rs 400/-.

Important Dates:
Last date for submission of application form: April 25, 2013.
Last date for deposit of fee in any branch of State Bank of India using generated challan: April 29, 2013.
Last date for submission of fee details: May 02, 2013.
PUTHAT 2013 test will be held on: May 19, 2013 at 10 AM to 11.30 PM.
