HSC Exam Held Smoothly On Sunday
Maharashtra: This is for the very first time that the board had scheduled exams on March 17, 2013 Sunday. This might have brought students and parents into worries. But, the ensured that the students shall face no problems to write exams on Sunday.

 

The board made sure that all types of transportation will be functional on Sunday and the railways have confirmed that there will be no mega block on the harbour and main line of Central Railway and western Railway. HSC Students appeared for Biology paper on Sunday.

The decision to hold the HSC exams on Sunday came after students demanded for more holidays before some papers, in order to prepare for the same. HSC students as well as teachers requested the state government to give more holidays before papers like physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics.

Colleges, too, had made arrangements to ensure that both teaching as well as the non-teaching staff members were present to conduct the two papers. Teachers were more concerned about students, so they had not questioned the decision to work on a Sunday.

The officials said, It was just like any other day of examination at our college," Other colleges also said students as well as the college staff were ready to work without any hassles and that the staff has been promised a compensatory off sometime next week.

However, the exams were held successfully without any glitches.
