The Ministry said, NEET PG online counseling will begin from Feb 20, 2013 to April 19, 2013.
The ministry is hopeful that on the next hearing on Feb 12, the apex court will take a final decision, on whether or not the state's and private universities can conduct separate entrance exams. After the announcement of verdict, NEET OG 2013 results will be declared.
The Union Health Ministry official said, "The ministry announced the tentative dates to avoid the last minute hassle and for the convenience of students," The scheduled time table has been uploaded on the Ministry's website.
If final decision in the supreme court goes in favor, the Ministry has, as of now proposed counseling only for those, who qualify for the around 6,000 government seats in medical colleges.
"Depending on the outcome of the order, we will take steps for counseling of the students from the private colleges also," the official said.
Overall 20,000 seats available in all the 350 medical colleges across the country. NEET PG 2013 was held in November 2012.
The National Board of Examinations (NBE), New Delhi had conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for Postgraduate (PG) Courses from November 23, 2012 to December 6th, 2012. Over 95,000 candidates registered for the computer based admission test for the PG Medical courses and it was held at 50 centres in 33 cities across country.
