Resonance Announces STaRT-2013 Final Results

Mumbai, February 6, 2013: Resonance - a leading educational institute of the country announced the results of its annual event, the Scholarship & Talent Reward Test (STaRT-2013) - Stage-II. The national winners across the 9 categories have bagged a visit to NASA-USA tour followed by runner ups earning themselves a visit to CERN in Europe and the Science Centre in Singapore respectively. The results have also been also displayed on the official website of the company www.resostart.in.

The Final Stage (Stage-II) of STaRT-2013 was conducted by Resonance on 13th January, 2013 (Sunday). The test involved huge participation from across the country.

Thousands of students from different backgrounds appeared for the test with the hope of winning the most sought after USA trip and several other medals and awards associated with the test. Out of these, only 1800 top students got selected and were announced as winners. Rajasthan had the maximum selections with a total of 741 (41%) students amongst the Top-200 across 9 categories from Class-V to XII followed by Odisha with 226 (13%), Maharashtra -159 (9%), Madhya Pradesh - 128 (7%), & Uttar Pradesh - 115 (6%).

Out of the Total 27 students in Top-3 positions in 9 categories, 9 students are from Rajasthan, 5 from Odisha, 3 from Uttar Pradesh, 2 from West Bengal and 1 each from Delhi, Maharashtra, Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh respectively.

All India Rank - 1 (Won 11-days NASA-USA tour): Sparsh Jandial (Class V), Nisith Kumar Pati (Class VI), Haimoshri Das (Class VII), Sourav Sahoo (Class VIII), Harshit Sharma (Class IX), Homanga Bharadhwaj (Class X), Ayush Gupta (Class XI), Shudhatma Jain (Class XII), Charu Maheshwari (Open Category: Class-XI & XII).

All India Rank - 2 (Won 9-days CERN-Europe Tour): Parth Maniar (Class V), Sarthak Rout (Class VI), Shauryasikt Jena (Class VII), Anand Iyer (Class VIII), Manan Bhatia (Class IX), Irfan Khilji (Class X), Srishti Jain (Class XI), Karan Vaidya (Class XII), Yogesh Jain (Open Category: Class-XI & XII).

All India Rank - 3 (Won 6-days Science Centre: Singapore Tour) : Parth Dwivedi (Class V), Shreyansh Gupta (Class VI), Sarthak Behera (Class VII), Debaditya Pramanik (Class VIII), Suraj Dash (Class IX), Kshitij Garg (Class X), Kushal Babel (Class XI), Palak Jain (Class XII), Rishabh Jain (Open Category: Class-XI & XII).

Mr. R. K. Verma, MD, Resonance congratulated all the winners and added that "Such events do bring out the best of students from across the nation. Mr. Manoj Sharma, Vice President, Operations and Business Development, Resonance further informed that all winners will be invited for a felicitation function. This function will be organized on Sunday, 24th Feb, 2013 in Kota where prizes worth INR 75 Lakhs will be rewarded to the winning students. Students securing AIR-1 in 9 categories will be awarded with a Gold Medal and an 11-day trip to USA including a 3-Day space camp at Kennedy Space Center, NASA. AIR-2 students will be awarded with a 9-day CERN-ESA-Europe trip and a Silver Medal. AIR-3 students will be awarded with a Bronze Medal and a 6-Day trip to Singapore.

Resonance has also allocated scholarships worth Rs. 4 Crores for the final top 500 students from each Class, if they enroll into a Yearlong Classroom Contact Program (YCCP) of Resonance.

Rewards of INR 15 Lakhs will also be given to all the schools, their Principals and Coordinators based on the performance participation of their students in various reward categories .

The Champions' Camp will be conducted on 22-23 Feb 2013, for the Top 100 students of all Classes except Class XII. Total 800 students will be invited for the Champion's Camp. It will be a 2 day event in which expert mentors of Resonance will educate and guide these students with a focus on establishing foundation for future competitive exams.

STaRT is a very unique event initiated by Resonance in 2012. STaRT 2013 was the second edition of the event. The objective of this initiative is to identify the incredible talent across the country and reward them through prizes and scholarships to motivate and support them in their future endeavors.
