Gujarat Board provides question bank for JEE, NEET

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) provides question bank to the state board HSC students who are preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exams.

JEE is the common entrance exam for engineering courses admissions in IIITs, NITs, IITs and central government funded institutions. JEE Main will conducted on April 07, 2013.

NEET is the common medical entrance exam for admissions to medical and dental courses across the country. NEET will be conducted on May 05, 2013.

The question bank will be available to the students form the District Education Office (DEO) of each district from Feb 06, 2013. The question bank will also be available at GSHSEB office in Gandhinagar.

M I Joshi, Secretary of GSHSEB said, "Students of Gujarat have been complaining that there is no comprehensive, exhaustive syllabus available in Gujarati language to help them prepare for the JEE & NEET. We realized that this gap needed to be filled. Hence, we sought help from subject experts and have come out with questions for all four main subject Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Mathematics,"

Mainly, question bank aims to help the state board students to prepare better for the national level entrance exams. Question bank consisting of 13,272 objective type questions will be made available to the students at the cost of Rs 350/-. In market question bank for each subject paper costs Rs 600/-.

Board officials also said that the question bank contains 3,015 questions in Physics, 3,488 question in Chemistry, 4,789 in Biology and 1,980 question in mathematics subject.

"We want every student of the state to be able to afford this material which will help them prepare for the national entrance exams," Joshi added.
