Allahabad University Gets Its Admission Director

AU Gets Admission Director For Yr2013-14
Allahabad University has appointed Professor BN Singh as the director of University's admission cell. He has been appointed for the second time in AU.

Professor Singh, from the geography department, has been given the responsibility of heading the Admission Process in the upcoming session 2013-14.


Previously, Dean Students Welfare (DSW) Prof RK Singh was appointed as the chairman of the admission cell in his capacity as the nominee of the Vice-chancellor. The admission schedule of AU is likely to declare by February Second Week.

On Tuesday, the Academic Council during its official meeting had informed about the benefits of the centralized admission process through a power point presentation. Anupam Pandey of Geography Department, who was associated with the admission process of the last academic year, explained the system, right from the sale of admission forms till the declaration of the entrance exam results and counselling programme.

During, this meeting, it was decided to entrust the responsibility to Professor BN Singh and his team for the academic session 2013-14.

Professor BN Singh said "My Name being picked up by the University gives me added sense of responsibility and we all would try our level best for conducting the admissions smoothly and meeting all the deadlines in time".

Allahabad University admission cell holds the process for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses being run in the University and its constituent colleges. The University admissions declares the entire programme for sale of forms, date of entrance exam, declaration of results and the counselling programme.
