Pre-Engineering Test 2013 on 21 April
Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB), Bhopal conducts the Pre-Engineering Test 2013 (PET 2013) for admission to engineering courses in engineering colleges across the state on April 21, 2013.


It has been confirmed that, there will not be having JEE entrance exam for the MP students for this year. Students have to appear for the state entrance exam PET 2013.

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh has finalized the rules for Pre-Engineering Test 2013 for engineering colleges admissions. The entrance exam will be conducted on April 21, 2013, while registration for the PET 2013 will commence in February.

Last year, around 1 lakh students registered for the PET entrance exam for 96,000 seats in various colleges including private ones.

Director and Controller of exams of PEB, Pankal Trivedi has confirmed the news by saying "We have received the PET rules and the test would be most likely conducted on April 21. The PET 2013 online application form will be available from February.

This comes against earlier statement made by the state higher and technical education minister Laxmikant Sharma who had said about two weeks ago that Madhya Pradesh Government had decided to join the Joint entrance Examination (JEE), the national level entrance examination for engineering courses admissions conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) New Delhi.
