Goa Common Entrance Test 2013 commences on 08 May

DTE Goa conducts GCET 2013 on 08 May
Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa invites application for Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET 2013) for admissions to first Year of Professional Degree courses in the State foe academic year 2013-14.

The NEET UG 2013 Entrance exam will be conducted in Panaji on May 03.

Admissions to MBBS/BDS/BHMS Courses shall be based on NEET(National Entrance cum Eligibility Test) to be conducted by CBSE and eligibility criteria prescribed by MCI. Syllabus for the same is published on MCI website.

Admissions to B.E. and B.Pharm courses shall be on the basis of GCET (Goa Common Entrance Test), which shall be conducted in 10 Centres, across Goa State, as per following schedule.

Admissions to B.Arch. course shall be on the basis of scores obtained at NATA(National Aptitude Test in Architecture), conducted by Council of Architecture, and qualifying exam (Std. XIIth /HSSC.).

Eligibility:
Candidates should have a passed 10+2 examination in science discipline with 50% of marks (40% of SC/ST) from a recognized board of examination

GCET-2013 shall be conducted in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Maths, based on Std. XIIth syllabus prescribed by Goa Board for March 2013 exam in these subjects. Each paper will consist of 75 (Seventy Five) questions, of one mark each, to be answered in two hours, with no negative marking.

Please Note:
Admissions to B.E. Courses in the State of Goa from the year 2014-15, are proposed to be on the basis of National Level JEE (Joint Entrance Engineering Examination) conducted by CBSE, which is likely to include portions covered in both Std. XIth and XIIth Science, and with suitable weightage accorded for marks scored at Std. XIIth Board exam. Interested students are advised to refer to the relevant websites of CBSE for syllabus and other relevant information, and prepare accordingly.
