The valuation was scheduled to start from 3rd of December, 2012 but not yet started. But, what is the reason behind this? Read further to know in detail.
Though the evaluators have reached their duty on time, they had to leave back home for the fifth time. When the officials stepped into investigation, the president of teachers association of Bangalore University College (BUCTA), Mr. KM Nagaraj said "We reached the centre at 9:30 am to find that the custodian wasn't there. We in-fact waited till 1PM, but nobody turned up. We tried contacting the BU registrar of Evaluation, but he never answered our calls".
The sources from BUCTA ,office-bearers say that teachers have been reaching centres every morning. But, the varsity comes up with some excuse for not starting the evaluation process.
Mr.Nagaraj also said "The problem is with the evaluation of B.Com and BCA answer sheets and affected centers include the United Mission College, City College, Mariyappa College and Maharani Arts College. They say that since custodians at these centres are to be changed, they have suspended the process".
According to the Teachers Association of BU, 3.5 lakh answer sheets are to be evaluated. A member of BUCTA, Mr. BG Bhaskara said "We informed varsity officials in advance that the process will take a least 35-40 days, but to no avail. We were initially sent back because bar coding on answer sheets was not complete. Then came the change in custodians. Classes will re-open on January 2 and we are left with no option but to attend classes in the morning and evaluate papers in the afternoon".
