Academic Classes must start from 01 Aug
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi puts break for the students admissions to the technical and professional colleges in Gujarat. In Gujarat, the students admissions to technical colleges taken till November.

The AICTE officials announced in a seminar that the academic session of all technical and professional classes should begin from Aug 01 next year. The AICTE has handed over time table for to the state education department has been directed to strictly follow from next year.

AICTE Advisor, MK Hada said that as per the Supreme Court guidelines, the AICTE has made a time table for all the states to follow for admissions in engineering and other technical professional courses. As per the time table, the state will have to get the permission for new colleges before April 30.

Initially, the colleges have been granted permission to take admission late till as in June and July to complete its admission process. "By June end, the first round of admission should be completed. The second round of admission should be complete on July 10 and third round should be finished by July 20. Academic sessions in all technical colleges should begin on Aug 01," said Hada.

Hada said that the states not following this time table will be served a notice as these guidelines have been prepared following SC directives. Locals have welcomed this change as the admission process in Gujarat is known as stretch till September, October and even November.

AICTE officials said that any students admitted after July 30 will not be enrolled by the universities and not recognized as a students by AICTE.
