AP Medical Aspirants Confusion Over NEET & EAMCET

AP Students Must Prepare for NEET,EAMCET
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi announced the online registration dates for the NEET UG 2013 for admission to Undergraduate medical courses across the country.

Initially, Andhra Pradesh High Court has issued an interim stay on NEET PG, but the case is now in Supreme Court. Supreme court is yet to pronounce its judgment and CBSE issued NEET UG 2013 notification. Authorities are asking the AP students to prepare for both NEET and EAMCET Entrance Exams for seeking admission in Medical courses.

Around 1 lakh students are going to seeking admission into medical courses this year. The students and their parents are demanding the state government of Andhra Pradesh to announce clearly about NEET. Higher officials are saying that as the case is still pending in supreme court, they have decided to conduct the EAMCET 2013 as per the schedule. If supreme court judgment gives exemption from NEET, it may become difficult to make arrangements for EAMCET in short time and they are asking the students to prepare for both NEET and EAMCET.

Ratna Kishore, Principal Secretary, Medical and Health department informed that EAMCET will be held as per the schedule. Admission into medical colleges will be based on the rank the candidates obtained in EAMCET. But in case of NEET approved in AP means, students have to appear for both the entrance exams.

He also informed that the same method will be implemented for postgraduate medical admissions also. He suggested that the students should be prepared for both the entrance exams.

The CBSE will conduct NEET UG 2013 on May 05, 2013 for medical courses admission across the country. Students have to register for the NEET UG 2013 from Dec 01 To Dec 31, 2012. NEET UG 2013 application with late fee of Rs 1000 will be received till Jan 31, 2013.

Examination fee can be paid through the debit card, credit card or internet banking.

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), Hyderabad conducts the Engineering Agriculture Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET 2013) for admission in to first year Under Graduate Professional courses offered for the academic year 2013-2014 in the University and Private unaided & affiliated Professional colleges in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
