A.Selvam, who is the controller of examinations of BDU told reporters that "about 800 students in over 25 colleges were affected and could not sit for their exams. Though the subject core and the title of the subject remained the same, the questions were totally different from the respective subject".
"The chairman of the examination has also endorsed the question papers. In fact, 2 sets of question papers are prepared for each subject, and should there be aberrations in one set and the second one would be opened. More over the second set of question papers were also out of syllabus, which made the situation more worse. ", he added.
It is a serious blunder on the part of the setter and endorsing the same by the chairman of exams is even more serious. Appropriate disciplinary action would be taken against them; said Mr. Selvam
Tuesday's exam is further scheduled for the 22nd of December, due to the 3rd semester examinations which are already scheduled till the 21st of December.
