Attendance Policy Made Across DU Discords Students

Students of Delhi University feel they are being disturbed by the Attendance policy made by their university. But Why? Students who are taking up their semester exams are now subjected to a inconsistent attendance policy across all its affiliated colleges.

According to the sources, it is known that most of the colleges are yet to complete their attendance and also allowing everyone to write exams. More over a few of these colleges have set their own minimum mark for attendance which is very low when compared to the mark given by the university as 66%.

Other set of colleges say that as per the instructions of the principals power to decide have not been issue in writing yet, hence would follow the 66.6% mark for attendance.

A spokesperson of Kamala Nehru College, affiliated to Delhi University says that this college has brought down the norm to 50% due to which the number of detainees have reduced from 253 to 80. "Since, the university has given principals the power to take decisions on their own, we decided judiciously to reduce it to 50% to accommodate as many as possible. The final decision has got a great support from the council of Staffs and the Attendance Committee."

Its not just KNC but also includes Gargi College, Dyal Singh College, Ramjas College in the list. Moreover, few changes like exam policies has left students totally puzzled, because the first page of booklet, where students are required to fill in details, has changed too much. There are many more parameters and new format for roll numbers.
