It is after a very long time of 16 years that West Bengal is establishing new colleges in State. These colleges are to be known as 'Technical campuses' and situated in cities like Murshidabad, Darjeeling, Purulia and Jalpaiguri. They shall further tie up with various industries to offer a 2-year management course.
They believer that most of the management schools demand heavy fees due to which many students fail to opt for management studies, hence this decision was held. And against this, the new institutes will also focus on the quality of education and aims in producing more employable graduates.
The admissions shall be conducted based on the scores scored in the entrance exam conducted by WBTU or GMAT Scores. The maximum number of intake is 60 candidates. Their next 5 year plan is to establish 30 more b schools across West Bengal.
The government B-schools are further expected to attract large number of management aspirants due to their reasonable fee structure. The B-schools to come up under PPP model will be built at locations nearby the industries.
