CBSE Conducts Optional Proficiency Test, Next Year

CBSE's Optional Proficiency Test
CBSE (Central Board Of Secondary Education) has hereby announced that it shall be conducting the Proficiency Test in the month of April, 2013. This test is conducted every year before April, but this year considering the the additional pressure of Board exams, the CBSE has decided to postpone it to April.

Final/Board exams for the CBSE class 10 students are scheduled for March, 2013. The examination will he conducted for the main subjects like English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science and social Science. Students who attend their examinations in March, 2013 will attend the Proficiency Test in April.

Proficiency Test includes benchmarking of skills and higher mental abilities of students, providing motivation to students for academic excellence in the respective subjects, providing feedback to schools on levels of learning students and setting goals, priorities and targets in their future educational plans.

Objectives of Proficiency Test: It measures an individual's abilities and skills in a domain or subject to know how well he/she has learned, understood and internalized the related concepts and principles. Also, about their knowledge and understanding of the respective subject to new and unfamiliar everyday life based situations.
