IIT Delhi And JNU To Have Design Innovation Centre

Innovation & Inter-disciplinary Programm
The Meta University Project is aimed in introducing a new centre for 'Design' Innovation in order to help students with entrepreneurial mind transform their ideas into products. The courses offered by the innovation centre leads to the Product designs.


It offers Programme such as department in Innovation and Inter-disciplinary. IIT Delhi along with JNU shall collaborate for the research activities under the meta university. HRD Ministry has shown up interest in the new course and it is extending assistance of Rs.25 crore.

This concept includes IIT Delhi along with partnership of Delhi University, Jamia Millia Islamia, and Jawaharlal Nehru University. Simultaneously, a student will be allowed to pursue cross disciplinary programme too.

IIT Delhi director R.K Shevgaonkar said "The details of the project are being worked out and we are in talks with JNU for collaborative research work in the areas of Public health, climate change and education
