Public Views On Plea Against UGC By NET Students

Public View On NET Candidates& UGC Issue
Its a recent issue where NET (National Eligibility Test) candidates stood against the activities of UGC, where it mentioned that UGC will destroy the answer sheets within 30 days of results being declared.

Well, the group of candidates have requested other people who wish to join the Public Inerest Ligitation (PIL) can send their contact details to [email protected] .

We have a few people who have shared their views on this issue. A Few of them shared their views as mentioned below :

Dheeraj seriously questions: "How can UGC change the qualification norms after the results?"

M.Radhakrishna says "It is completely unfair and unethical. At the time of notification, UGC did not mention any information regarding aggregation among three papers. UGC has duped the students who had appeared for UGC net exam. It has to clearly mention the criteria for qualifying the examination at the time of notification only after conducting the results changing the norms for qualification is completely unethical practice. Even subject and professors not able to get aggregation of 65%".

Zahid says "Well, UGC should change the criteria as there are some subjects who are very tough and some are simple so how it is justifiable to have aggregate of minimum percentage. Also papers in some subjects were simple and in some cases they were simple and in some cases they were so hard that even professors who are expert in the field could not answer them."

Anu says "The statement by UGC is made in their advantage, that they decide the criteria for lectureship before declaring the result. But eligibility means only passing criteria and other essential qualification for lectureship not only cut offs. So it is right to challenge in Court".

Robin Simon says "It is Absolutely an illogical remark by UGC. UGC does not have to store the answer sheets rather only the OMR sheets, and to store OMR sheets for any query should not be an issue for UGC."

Balakrishna says " It is very unfair to change the qualifying criteria after the declaration of results, the move of the UGC should be taken up to the court."

Well, this shows that students are completely against it. So what is the result of this. Keep visiting for updates.
