The Dental Council of India also amended the BDS Course Regulations 2007 and notified in the Gazette of India Extraordinary dated 31 May, 2012 that admission to BDS Course in each academic year shall be through National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
NEET UG 2013 Online Registration Started
The Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India have notified that the CBSE shall be the organization to conduct the NEET for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses.

Karnataka Examinations Authority Conducts Capacity building Programme for Students:
The Karnataka Examinations Authority will take up the Capacity Building of students for making them fully prepared to write the NEET 2013. The capacity building programme for all students will commence from October 16, 2012 which coincides with Dassera Holidays for 2nd PU students.
The Capacity Building Programme will be telecast through Doordarshan Chandana Channel from 9.15 pm to 10.00 pm every day till May 2013. Further transmission of Capacity Building Programme will also be done through Edusat also. Detailed course wise modules for all contents of the syllabus will be accessible to all students from 16th October through KEA website.
A separate NEET Cell is being constituted in Karnataka Examinations Authority which will interact directly with the students. Further from January 2013, Mock NEET examination will also be conducted by KEA both offline and online. Students can be assured that complete responsibility to make them confident to face the examination with optimal preparation will be shouldered by KEA.
