All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi conducts 20th Faculty Development Program on Sales Management at Vivekananda College of Empowerment, Kolkata on Sept 28-29, 2012.

AIMA's two day workshop on Sales Management is designed to discuss latest industry practices and amalgamation of the practical knowledge with theoretical concepts.

The knowledge of innovative and diverse Industry practices helps enhancing the quality of classroom learning and enriches the pedagogy. Generation of revenue through achievement of targets is the core function of sales, but in today's competitive market "Sales" function is gaining relevance as strategic function which gives the organization a sustainable growth and edge over the competitors.

Success in Sales depends on how well the organization understands its customer, market demands and the extent to which it can create and deliver value beyond the customer expectation. Knowing the importance of Sales function, it is critical for management to manage sales force. With organizations going global, strategies for recruitment , training & development , sustaining and motivating sales team has become a dynamic subject to be studied by marketing management professionals. With the markets going global and technology innovations, "Sales Management" becomes a dynamic subject for educators as well as for practitioners.

On one hand the educators need to impart necessary knowledge to the future managers who will help their organizations compete in this ever changing market; on the other hand the practitioners need to understand the indispensability of ‘strategic sales' to withstand competition. This workshop has been designed specifically by keeping both these aspects in mind.

Objectives of the Program:

  • Create a platform for professionals to share their knowledge and thoughts about how to evolve new methods to teach this subject, keeping in view the requirements and expectations of corporates.
  • Interact with educators and professionals about the industry practices and how their efficiency can be enhanced by utilizing latest concepts of management.
