New Delhi/Patna, Sept 20: Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP), a fast-growing business management institute of the country, has invited applications for admission to its two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management Programme (PGDM) for the session 2013-15.

There are 60 seats in the much-coveted PGDM programme, and the admission would be based on the scores obtained in CAT 2012.

The eligibility criterion is a Bachelor's degree from a recognised institute with minimum 50 per cent marks in aggregate.

Besides the CAT 2012 scores, past academic records and work experience will also be given weightage for short-listing the eligible candidates. The final selection will be based on the aspirants' CAT 2012 scores and their performance in essay writing, group discussion and personal Interview (GD&PI) in March 2013.

Fifty per cent seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC category students. The application fee is Rs 1,000 for general candidates and Rs 200 for SC/ST. The last date to apply for CIMP is December 7, 2012.

During its short period of existence, CIMP has an enviable record of 100 per cent placements for all its batches right since its inception, which speaks volumes of its credentials in the corporate world. Some of the top companies, including AMUL, DION Global Solutions, HDFC Bank, ITC, L&T, NDDB, RELIGARE and TATA Advanced Systems, have been regular recruiters for the CIMP pass-outs. Companies from sectors like Banking & Finance, KPO, Consultancy, FMCG, IT & Telecom, Advertising & Media, Manufacturing participate in the recruitment process.

A brainchild of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, CIMP is patterned on the IIM model. It has a world class library developed with the support of IIM Ahmedabad and also has resource collaboration with Harvard Business Publishing, an independent unit of Harvard Business School. In addition to its internal faculty (from IIMs and other national institutions), professionals from corporate world provide high quality academic inputs to its students.

CIMP is also emerging as the best in research output among the young national management schools in India. It is ranked among the top 20 research institutions in India pertaining to Economics and Finance, according to a 2010 survey conducted by University of Connecticut, USA. ITC has recognised it as its preferred campus.
