Indian Vocational Centres Likely In Palestine

India is likely to assist Palestine to develop Vocational Training Centres as apart of the MoU (Memorandum or Understanding) signed by the External Affairs Minister S.M.Krishna and the member of Executive Committee of Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Dr.Saeb M.S Erakat.

This proposal has been considered for the capacity building of youth and women of Palestine by providing machinery and technical expertise for vocational training centres (VTC's) in Palestine.

The Indian Government will provide equipment for VTC's in the existing Palestine infrastructure, besides giving necessary training to the identified Palestine trainers.

This project will be implemented by HMT International Ltd, which is a Government of India Enterprise, under the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises.

Initially, Palestine President Mohmoud Abbas, who arrived here on Monday night on a State visit, held delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh in New Delhi.
