Parents Should Focus On Vocational Courses, Said Sibal

Kapil Sibal, HRD Minister, on favoring a change in the education structure asks parents to focus on Vocational Education of their children.

On Launching a pilot project on 'National Vocational Education Qualifications Framework' Sibal said, India is a country of Youth. There is need to give them such education, which may get them good employment in future. Parents will have to change their mindset in this regard and instead of normal education, they should see that their children get vocational education.

In case someone has to work in Automobiles, where is the need to teach him history? Those who want to pursue studies after schooling can do so, but those wanting to work should be professionally prepared to get a work, he explained.

On emphasizing the need to change the structure of education in the country, he said that 100 community colleges will be launched soon in the upcoming years. The Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that Haryana is developing into an education hub of International level.
