LPU Most Searched University On Internet in India

Recently, the research made by the Google team reveals that over half of the Indian Internet population is within the age limit of 18-35. The report says that India has reached top 2 stage when spot globally.

Latest Google study termed as "Students on the web", Lovely Professional University (LPU) has been declared as one among the top 5 most searched private universities on internet in India.

The study was compiled by combining the Google search query patterns and offline research conducted by TNS Australia-Part of the global market and social research organization, on behalf of Google India.

More than 60% of Indian students use internet as first source to research information related to educational courses, a study revealed by the "Students in the Web".

Mr. Ashok Mittal, Chancellor of LPU said, "It is a proud moment for us that worlds independent leader 'Google' has declared our university as one of the top most searched university on internet in India. By this research its clear that LPU is the most popular University among youth. The University website, which possesses admission related solid information, has helped remote seated students, particularly in south India.

He said, "Moreover, we also feel that LPU is the tier-2 city university in India which has won such a coveted ranking by the world leader". It is to be noted that LPU had further contributed much towards letting India to 2nd position in the world.

"We are some what relaxed that India now stands second only to US, and only one step more will certainly make our country to regain & prove its education superiority over all other, globally", said Mr. Mittal

Mr. Rajan Anandan, Vice President and MD, Google India considers, "With over 60 million internet users, being in age group of 18-35, education related research queries are exploding on Google. Our nucleus objective behind compiling this study was to understand the impact internet is having on this young population with regard ro education related decision making by the students". Education related queries in Google in India are growing year on year intensify a strong demand for information on institutes and courses that are available in the Country.

Some of the students, Jobanjit Singh, Thakur Kamal, Pundir Sutanshu Aggarwal and many other searched a lot about LPU on internet, to get proper information. By making searches as "LPU Colleges", "LPU University", LPU Engineering Programmes etc. we got good results for al searches made as university website contains much information.
