MU Taking Measures For The Safety Of NE Candidates

MU To Secure NE Students In Institutions
Based on the recent incident of NE candidates occurred in India has put all NE candidates into fear which tends them migrate back to their states. Their expectations of Higher education for which they migrate to other states are going in vain. Hence, The University of Mumbai has come forward to secure its NE based students in their institutions.

The University of Mumbai has sent circulars in order to directed the Principals, Directors of all affiliated Colleges and Institutions for their safety. He had requested to take up the circular for information and immediate necessary actions.

 

The circular stated "As directed, in view of recent unrest amongst the North East(NE) students you are hereby requested to take the proper measures to secure them if such students belong to your institution. In this case you may take the help of the nearest Police Station, if required. However, if students have left the institutions in recent days, the efforts must be made to bring them back to the institution by giving them confidence and assurance of security. In this regard, Principals are requested to arrange the counselling for such students".

Well, this is an active measure taken up by the Mumbai University. But, is it enough if only one university or institute come forward to protect their students belonging to NE? The most important note written in this circular was the head official has mentioned in the circular as "Kindly treat this as MOST URGENT".

Well, there are other facilities made in state in order to protect these candidates. Various help-line centres are also opened to serve them with necessary help on time.
