Calcutta University Opens Ph.D in LIS Admission

Department of Library and Information Science, University of Calcutta, Kolkata invites applications for Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Library and Information Science course commencing in the session 2012.

Eligibility:
Candidates should have a Master's degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university.

Note:
Candidates qualified in NET/SET/M. Phil exam, are not required to appear in the admission test but need to qualify in the interview.

Selection Procedure:
Candidates will selected based on Entrance Test and interview conducted by the university.

How to apply:
The candidates should download the application form from the university website for the admission test and interview and submit the same along with the application fee of Rs. 100/- in the proper challan obtainable from the University cash counter to the department.

Important Dates:
Last date for the submission of application form is June 06, 2012.
Admission Test will be held on June 07, 2012 at 12.00 PM.
