AIEEE, IIT-JEE Notified As ISEET 2013 Online Test

ISEET New Syllabus, Pattern And Process
ISEET-2013 (Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test) shall be replaced in place of AIEEE and IITJEE. It was known as Single National Level Entrance Test. ISEET 2013 is conducted for those candidates who seek for admissions in Central Engineering Institutions like IIT's, NIT's, IIIT's and IIIR's.

The Notification for this Entrance Test in 2013 shall be displayed in the month of September. In future, this aspect of ISEET will result in replace of all state level examinations like RPET, MH-CET, Karnataka CET including IIT-JEE and AIEEE.

 

Why Change AIEEE and IIT-JEE to ISEET?

Initially ISEET 2013 was proposed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, India with the main focus to reduce the stress on students who are willing to attend for various entrance examinations. Their motto was to bring down the stress in students by centralizing these exams. Not just mental stress but also the financial stress will also get reduced which in-turn is beneficial for students.

Students can focus on a single test syllabus which can help them in getting admissions in good colleges. ISEET 2013 test in Online mode will be held twice or more in an academic year. And the scores of this exam is said to be valid for two years.

New Exam Pattern for ISEET 2012 are as follows :

  • Minimum 40% of weightage shall be given to School Board Marks.
  • Totally ISEET 2013 was divided into two categories such as ISEET Main and ISEET Advanced.

What is ISEET Main and Advanced Section ?

ISEET Main : is an Objective Test which is same like CAT, SAT and other exams. It is to test the student’s English comprehension Logical Reasoning and Critical Thinking.

ISEET Advanced : mainly depends on School Board Syllabus and difficulty level equal to that of AIEEE. 30% weightage will be taken into consideration which was mandatory to take admission into central engineering institutions.

Syllabus Structure :

  • ISEET Main Consists of Comprehension, Logical Reasoning and Critical Reasoning. And
  • ISEET Advance consists of subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Purely Objective.

Duration of ISEET 2013 Examination : 3 Hours from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM.
