The Karnataka PGET Counselling for Medical and Dental Courses starts from today the 14th of May, 2012. As per the governments order It is held today at the Rajiv Gandhi University Health Sciences (RGUHS) where the first phase for dental courses is held.
The second round is to be held on 24th of May whereas the first round for the medical courses is held on 14th to 17th May while the second round will be held on May 25 and 26. A total number of 11000 candidates took the PGET Exam and 7500 candidates have cleared it.
This year there is also an option to enroll in new courses in subjects such as Hospital Administration and Emergency Medicine. Deemed Universities such as JSS University, Yenopoya University, KMC Manipal, Nitte University and KMC Mangalore will be participating in the counselling starting this year by contributing 25% of additional seats which these universities have received through MCI's nod.
