Increase In Master Seats More Than Applicants:ICET

Increase In MBA/MCA Seats
There has been a decline of 10% in the applications for ICET (Integrated Common Entrance Test)2012, which is a entrance examination provided for MCA and MBA seats in Andhra Pradesh. According to the reports, the number of seats available is more than the number of applicants. This situation shows a sudden fall in the popularity of the once sought after courses largely because of poor placement records.

Almost around 1.36 lakh candidates have applied for the test this year in comparison to 1.5 lakh last year. It has also been pointed out that a large number of applicants may go for distance education which may leave more seats going vacant, says the reports.

Not to forget, there are incidents where some of the MBA and MCA colleges have shutdown recently. However, it resides only on the exam results.
