The bundles of the OMR sheets (Optical Mark Recognition) which have gone missing is meant to be used by the students during the entrance test for Undergraduate professional courses to be conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (Comed-K) 2012.
The Comed-K exams are said to go ahead with its plans and the test was held on May 6, 2012, Sunday. The executive secretary AS Srikanth said, “We have announced the serial numbers of missing OMR sheets and if any students write the test in those, then the results of those papers will not be announced.
According to Comed-K officials, the OMR sheets might have been lost while being shifted from the printing press. Srikanth said “We have announced those OMR sheets as invalid and if any such sheets found then the system shall reject those OMR sheets”.
Once the results are declared then candidates shall be able to make out their eligibility for admissions in 12 Medical, 25 Dental and 154 Engineering colleges in the state.
