The University also announces its scholarship program for undergraduate and master's courses aimed to help students meet a significant portion of the cost of their education. Students who qualify for these scholarships will be required to meet academic and non-academic performance criteria throughout their program of study. The University has categorized various types of scholarships under each of the program.
It is said that for Undergraduate programs a total value of scholarships per student under this category ranges from Rs.2,00,000 to 11,60,000 over 4 years. The Vice chancellor of Shiv Nadar University, Nikhil Sinha said “The University is committed in providing a dynamic, exciting, discovery-driven intellectual environment for exceptional students. Our unique research scholarship program is in the line with our vision to create India's premier research-led university”.
“We have launched a wide range of scholarship programs keeping in mind that academic brilliance and merit should always be recognized and rewarded and no deserving student should be deprived of the best education due to lack of financial resources”, he said. We believe that a combination of interdisciplinary research, global pedagogy, world-class faculty and infrastructure and the right enabling environment would help us train students for leadership positions in academia, industry, government, research laboratories and non-profit organization; he added.
Also the University announced the launch of the School of Humanities and Social sciences. The School would commence with Undergraduate, Postgraduate and PhD programmes in Economics and English. New Courses in Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences were announced for the School of Natural Sciences.
