Sources from the Oxford University revealed that the review of class XII performances forms a part of their process of reviewing global qualifications. The university has also witnessed Postgraduate students from India performing high in recent years.
The economy of India is growing rapidly in terms of academic quality and this has inspired Oxford University's decision to invite applications from students of ISC and CBSE boards. This was one of reasons for university's director for graduate admissions and studies making a special trip to recruit high performing Indian postgraduates.
Eligibility Criteria : For admission to various undergraduate courses at the university will be set by individual departments however students must have scored at-least 90% in each of the 5 subjects opted in class XII to gain admission in the university.
How to apply : Students interested in taking admissions to science subjects can also be required to appear for IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) entrance test as a pre-requisite. Individual departments are expected to come up with more conditions apart from the overall eligibility criteria required for a provisional admission to Oxford.
The UK based University and College Admissions Service propose that ISC and CBSE Class XII results are appropriate for entry to universities in UK. Earlier, students seeking admission to undergraduate courses at Oxford were required to take various eligibility tests.
